The recent death of country singer Joey Feek has many looking back on the message she left us in her final days…..

One of those noting Feek’s legacy is April Daniels Hussar, a blogger on the website, The Stir.

In a recent article she said she wanted to thank Joey Feek and her husband Rory for helping her be a better mom.

She referred to a blog that Rory wrote titled “One Last Kiss”, which featured a heartbreaking, beautiful image of his wife. The photo was of an emaciated and very ill Joey sharing a final kiss with her young daughter.

Hussar wrote at first she didn’t want to repost the photo since it captured an intensely lovely and private moment.

But when she read the Rory’s words — about being thankful that their story has been shared so much and so often, she realized that their intention in being so open is a gift to everyone.

Here’s what he wrote….”I am thankful.  So very thankful – that our story has been shared and shared and shared. Thankful that because it’s being picked up and shared by dozens of news organizations and hundreds of thousands of individuals on Facebook and elsewhere, somehow my wife’s life and ultimately her death, might possibly help or encourage someone else somewhere. That this life she’s living might impact the life of someone that she and I will never meet, and never see, at least this side of heaven. That is a good thing. No, that is a great thing.”
