Its become a staple for atheists….don’t debate Christians, simply mock them. We have some advice today for those of you facing ridicule for your faith.

Christians facing ridicule because of their faith isn’t new, there hasn’t been an era when it didn’t exist.

Here’s an example. Back in 1986 Billy Graham delivered a message at Bercy’s Stadium in Paris as part of a worldwide crusade.

In it, he told Christians they should not allow themselves to become discouraged by the words of those who have not found Jesus. Instead he advised believers to ignore the mockery that comes from secular society.

His advice hasn’t changed. Responding to a question posted to the Kansas City Star by a woman who asked what she should do when her husband mocks her faith, Graham writes: “such behavior should be off-limits in any marriage, regardless of the reason.”

Graham added that the woman should not be discouraged by negative language, saying that ultimately, people who criticize religion have an argument with God and no one else.

Here’s a quote from his response….”When we put our faith in Christ, he adopts us into his family, and nothing will ever change his love for us, even the mockery of those who think we’re foolish for believing in Christ.”

The 97-year-old preacher then used the example of Jesus’ life, saying that while naysayers attempted to tear Him down, they never succeeded….and adds “nor should they with you.”
