Poll after poll tells us America is a mess and the same is true around the world. A global day of prayer and fasting is scheduled for later this month to seek divine intervention in the course of world events.

An ABC/Ipsos poll from earlier this summer found a 20 point drop in America’s optimism about the direction of the country. But its not just America that’s facing chaotic times, no place on earth appears safe from the upheaval.  That’s why the Bible League is planning a virtual global day of prayer and fasting for September 30th.

The organizers point out that the challenges faced around the world can only be solved by prayer.

The Bible League is seeing how the turbulent times are affecting ministry, and they aren’t immune. Those challenges include anti-conversion laws threatening ministry opportunities in India, Bangladesh and a growing list of other countries.

Global lockdowns and restrictions on gatherings continue to limit trainings and Bible studies.

And the persecution of believers is ever present and increasing.

The Bible League is calling everyone to join them on September 30th to reflect on God’s work and faithfulness, to pray for the Lord’s blessing and direction.

Organizers hope a wave of prayer will circle the globe for 24 full hours that will begin in New Zealand and end on America’s West Coast.

The event will be livestreamed on Facebook and on the Bible League’s website…bibleleague.org.
