Between sickness from a pandemic and job losses affecting millions thanks to the lockdown, there’s a lot of bad news out there. Today, we have some good news from Tennessee.

In Middle Tennessee, people of all backgrounds are spreading positivity during this pandemic.

Amy Lee, an art teacher at Nashville’s St. Edwards School, is continuing to engage with her students virtually. As part of one recent homework assignment, Amy encouraged students to design cards for healthcare workers and first responders.

Many of the student art pieces are being displayed on TV monitors across Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital and bringing smiles to front line associates.

Meanwhile, several well known Nashville residents are bringing bouquets and meals to Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown employees. This thoughtful act of service is part of a broader initiative called Feeding Nashville that was recently launched by Hayley Hubbard, wife of Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard, and Taylin Lewan, wife of the Tennessee Titans’ Taylor Lewan. In addition to providing 213 meals and counting to healthcare workers, Feeding Nashville has already donated significantly to Middle Tennessee residents affected by last month’s tornado.

And finally, Associates at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford were treated to a University of Tennessee-themed luncheon, courtesy of the UT Foundation, the Parks Family of Realtors, and Five Senses Restaurant in Murfreesboro.
