Beast Feast is unashamedly an evangelistic effort directed at men. It features giveaways that included firearms, kayaks and gift cards. $20,000 in total prizes are given away.

There’s also a meal that many men enjoy like brisket, pork and chicken with all the sides in a buffet-style feast.

They may come for the outdoorsmen gifts but some of them left with the greatest gift.

The event, sponsored by GracePointe Baptist church and Beechland Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky has grown each of its three years.

Mark Bishop, who pastors both churches said, “It’s our biggest evangelism event of the year. Men (in the church) invite friends and family and then we put it out in the community. Our ladies do the serving. We share the gospel and do the giveaway.”

“With the size of our venue, we don’t need Phil Robertson to fill it. They come for the food, fellowship and firearms.”

Nearly 600 showed up and before the night was done, 42 professed faith in Christ.

Bishop added, “The hunting community is really wide open. Most of the time, they are conservatives, but the hunting community is religious but not saved. They are a different kind of lost. They know of Jesus but may not know him personally. It’s awesome to see them move from religious to salvation.”

Bishop says the event has become so popular, they’re looking for a bigger venue next year to handle the growing crowd.
