SEE YOU AT THE POLE is a student initiated, student lead public expression of faith. Students gather around their school’s flagpole to pray. They’ll pray for their nation, it’s leaders, local political and civic leaders, their school, its administration, their teachers, their parents, and friends.

Adults from the community who wish to show their support of these young people are welcome and encouraged to attend one half hour before the start of classes.

This year’s national theme is “1st Pray” from 1st Timothy 2:1.

There are several regional events as well. For example, for the last 15 years the students in Fellowship of Christian Athletes huddles have organized the event on every high school and middle school campus in East Central Indiana.

FCA will host the event once again this year. On every campus in ECI students WILL be praying together and likely in some fashion they will be praying for you.

This event, this year titled “ID please” is not sponsored by any public school system.

See You at the Pole began in 1990 when a small group of teenagers in Burleson, Texas, came together for a DiscipleNow weekend. They came seeking God and little did they know how powerfully He was about to move.

Compelled to pray, they drove to three different schools that night. Not knowing exactly what to do, they went to the school flagpoles and prayed for their friends, schools, and leaders. Today millions gather around their flagpoles around the world.
