The Family Research Council has launched a new project aimed at helping “Christians develop and live by a biblical worldview.”
The Center for Biblical Worldview “will also train Bible-believing Christians to advance and defend the faith in the workplace, in the schools, in their communities, and in the public square.”
Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council, said in a statement: “Christians have a duty to stand against the prevailing cultural tides and proclaim God’s truth to a dark and wandering world. … The Center for Biblical Worldview is designed to give Christians a firm foundation so that they can engage the culture by being rooted in God’s Word.”
Researcher George Barna and theologian Owen Strachan will be senior fellows at the center.
Barna, a longtime Christian demographer, heads the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University
Strachan is the new provost and research professor of theology at Grace Bible Theological Seminary in Conway, Arkansas and author of the book, “The Colson Way.”
David Closson, who will head the worldview project, said the “plan is to produce content for pastors and churches such as Sunday School curriculum, books, booklets, devotionals, a video series, podcasts, and other resources to help Christians think through issues through the lens of Scripture.”
Closson told the Washington Times….“The purpose of these resources is to help Christians apply their faith to all areas of life which is the goal of everything we will produce.”
