A three bus, multi-state tour intended to increase voter participation among Evangelical Christians has begun its trek across America.

Lift the Vote is a project of Power of Liberty, a Tennessee-based 501c4 advocacy group.

The three wrapped buses will primarily focus on Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, Colorado, Nevada and Arizona over the next two months leading to Election Day November 8.

Dana Hunsinger Gill, co-Chair of Lift the Vote pointed out, “When Christians don’t vote we silence what we know and our voices, allowing others to choose our leaders, the direction of our nation, and the critical policies that affect us and our families.

The buses will stop at large sporting events, festivals, Christian concerts, church services and other community gatherings in the targeted states.

Activists will distribute stickers proclaiming “I’m A Christian. I’m Voting!” as part of the outreach.

Lift the Vote is not affiliated with nor approved by any campaign committee or candidate.

Mateen Elass, Chairman of the Lift The Vote Pastor Advisory Team, said

“This effort is not about convincing Christians to vote for or against any particular candidate for any office. It IS about urging our Brothers and Sisters in Christ to pray for God’s guidance, to VOTE in accordance with His will, and to encourage others to do the same things.”
