The Kansas City Chiefs take on the San Francisco 49ers this weekend in this year’s Super Bowl in Las Vegas. Here’s the list:

  • Brock Purdy

The 49ers’ starting quarterback, was the last player taken in the 2022 draft. Now he’s playing in a Super Bowl.

But he confesses that football doesn’t dictate his worth. He said, “I know God’s going to take care of wherever I’m at in my life, whether it’s football or not. My identity isn’t in football.”

  • Patrick Mahomes

The Chiefs’ starting quarterback had a smoother transition into the NFL. He also says his legacy is his relationship with Christ.

He said, “I was baptized when I was 14 years old, But I’ve been able to kind of come back and really develop this relationship that’s been able to let me go out there and play free and not worry about the moment of the success or failure.

  • Christian McCaffrey

The 49ers Star running back told the San Francisco Chronicle that he is constantly praying on the field.

He says his main prayers are for all of the athletes’ safety but also that they play the game in an “honorable way.”

McCaffrey recognizes the incredible gift he has been given and wants his prayer life to reflect a heart of gratitude.

Others on the list include Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker, 49ers Defensive end Arik Armstead, The Chiefs top tackler Nick Bolton, 49ers’ safety Tashaun Gipson, and Chiefs’ cornerback, L’Jarius Sneed.
