Great American Family – or GAF, closed out July up 143% in Total Day Household ratings and leading all networks in year-over-year viewership increases.
According to Nielsen Media Research, Great American Family also retained its position as TV’s fastest-growing network in 2023 to-date with the largest gains in Total Day Households and Total Viewers; and Primetime Households and Total Viewers.
Total Viewers for GAF are up 139 percent compared to July of last year.
The cable channel first caught the eye of Christmas movie fans after it announced that several of [Hallmark Channel’s] stars would be making the jump over to Great American Family, including Danica McKellar and Trevor Donovan, who signed on in October 2021.
Movieguide® previously reported on GAF’s “Great American Summer,” which features eight original movies. The latest movie to be released is a romance called SUMMERTIME SOULMATES, which premiered last week.
Bill Abbott, CEO of Great American Media, told Christian Headlines that three of the movies are Pure Flix originals, following the company’s recent merger with that platform.
Abbott said he plans to keep providing top-notch content that respects “faith, family, and country.”
Adding, in a culture that’s “very, very dark” and filled with “negativity, Christians want wholesome movies and TV shows that reflect their values.“
