The newly signed Christian artist wrote the song during a personal health crisis.

According to the Gospel Music Association, In Jesus Name hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Christian Airplay and AC Indicator charts. She also has a piano rendition of the song.

Billboard noted“Making history, the song reaches the Christian Airplay penthouse in its 12th week, completing the quickest jaunt to No. 1 for a female artist’s first entry in the chart’s 19-year history.”

Nichole also shared on social media that YouTube named her “YouTube Trending Artist on the Rise” for her song’s music video.

Nichole responded on Instagram writing– “This is absolutely crazy and I’m extremely grateful!!”

Nichole signed a record deal with Christian label Centricity Music after the song went viral with over 80 million views on TikTok. Before being signed, the worship single was played on K-Love, marking the first time in its 40-year history that the Christian radio station aired a song that initially went viral on social media.

Nichole said the song was derived from her years-long struggle with scoliosis. She said, “I reached a point where I was ready to give up, but God met me in my lowest place. I felt Him say He wasn’t done yet.”

Nichole underwent two surgeries for scoliosis, one in 2015 and another one in 2018.
