The 3-year-old son of two Boston Police Officers is showing the nation the right way to participate in the National Anthem.

A now-viral video of a young boy belting out the national anthem was shared online by his parents, two Boston police officers, and has been shared over 130,000 times on the WBZ-TV Facebook page.

The young fan was captured on video patriotically singing, hand over heart, at last week’s New England Patriots’ preseason game at Gillette Stadium,

The parents are “obviously very proud of his patriotism,” father Michael Spence said.

The pint-sized patriot named Garrett sang along with BPD officer Kim Tavares, who was officially performing the national anthem.

Tavares, another officer from the Boston Police Department, had gone viral in a Fourth of July video featuring her singing “God Bless America” with partner Officer Stephen McNulty in their “Cop Pool Karaoke.”

The Boston Police Department tweeted: “Little Garrett may have what it takes for a call to back up in Cop-Pool Karaoke!”

Looking at another NFL season filled with professional athletes protesting during the national anthem, the young #ProudAmerican at the Patriots game was an inspiration to many.

Here are a couple of the posts on the video….

“Little man was raised right! God bless him!🇺🇸”

“I love this little patriot. And thank you to his Hero parents for raising him this way!”
