Filming of the new movie “Roe v. Wade” is underway.

The movie, which will tell the true story of the lies and manipulations used to push legalized abortion in America, is a project of actor/producer Nick Loeb and Cathy Allyn.

Loeb told the Hollywood Reporter they began shooting June 15 in and around New Orleans, including at Tulane University, as well as in Washington, D.C.

Loeb said, “When I delved into this, I discovered conspiracy theories, fake news, made-up statistics and a whole lot of people involved who switched their positions from pro-choice to pro-life, including Norma McCorvey, the “Jane Roe” of Roe v. Wade.”

The film stars Academy Award-winning actor Jon Voight, Robert Davi, and Stacey Dash, as well as Greer Grammer, the daughter of pro-life actor Kelsey Grammer.

Alveda King, the niece of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., also is an executive producer and has a cameo in the film.

Loeb told the news outlet that they are negotiating a distribution deal, and they hope to release the film in January.

The film will follow key advocates in the abortion fight in the 1970s, including former abortionist Dr. Bernard Nathanson and Betty Friedan on the pro-abortion side and Dr. Mildred Jefferson, the first African American woman to graduate from Harvard Medical School, on the pro-life side.
