A Pastor and his family adopt abandoned, homeless brothers after finding them in the trash.

Pastor Ronnie Stewart and his wife Krystal were driving in Pasco County, Florida, one day when they saw something suspicious near a building. Upon closer inspection, they discovered two young boys wearing only diapers and sitting in a trash heap.

The boys family was homeless, and they often came to Pastor Ronnie’s Refuge Church to eat at the soup kitchen.

Pastor Ronnie and Krystal knew that they couldn’t just let these boys suffer. So they convinced the boy’s parents to let them take the boys home and care for them.

Although Pastor Ronnie and Krystal already had three children, they were more than happy to take care of two more.

They assumed the arrangement was temporary and after returning the boys to their parents they prayed as a family that God would protect them and always provide a shelter for them  – they never dreaming it would be with them.

Ronnie and Krystal were eventually given custody of the boys.

Pastor Ronnie says, “We are absolutely positive that God has placed them in our lives for a purpose and to love them as our own. We cannot deny God’s sense of humor; my husband laughs as he remembers the conversation that we had the day before we met the boys. Krystal was 6 weeks post-op from a total hysterectomy after battling an early cancer diagnosis and realized they would have no more children.

Ronnie and Krystal are finalizing the process to legally adopt the boys and officially make them part of their family.
