Sometimes a parent has to go to extreme measures to discipline a child. But would you spend the day in your son’s physics class to make sure he follows the rules?
Brad Howard warned his son. But his warning just wasn’t enough, so his son would have to suffer the consequences of being embarrassed by his dad in school. The Texas father and pastor was tired of seeing emails and complaints from his son’s physics teacher who said that his son was talking too much in class.
So, he gave his son, who is also named Bradley, one final warning.
Brad told BuzzFeed, “For some reason, I said, ‘Hey, if we get another call, I’m going to show up in school and sit beside you in class,”
The 17-year-old must have thought his dad was bluffing and kept up his chatterbox ways. His dad, however, was not bluffing. Brad got yet another email from his son’s teacher. Even though he didn’t want to spend a day at high school, he knew he had to keep his word.
Bradley’s friends thought it was a laugh riot. Bradley, however, did not. Bradley’s sister Molli also thought the entire ordeal was hilarious. She texted the photo of her dad sitting next to her brother in class and eventually tweeted it.
That’s when the photos went viral. Even talk show host Montel Williams caught wind of the tweet and responded with, “This is awesome!!! One dad to another well done ;).”
While lots of people on social media told Bradley how awesome and loving his dad was, the Howards still want to make sure they got their point across to their son.
Bradley’s mom, Denise Howard said, more than anything we hope we don’t get any more calls about Bradley interrupting in physics class!”
