Does it seem like hostility towards your Christian beliefs is increasing? It’s more than just a feeling. It’s true!
A Family Research Council study reported a whopping 76 percent increase in hostility to religion in just the last three years.
Todd Starnes of Fox News says there is “absolute proof” that former President Barack Obama fundamentally transformed America and its tolerance toward religion.
He told Bill Hemmer on America’s Newsroom, ”That’s what he promised to do, and that’s what he did.”
Starnes pointed to one recent instance in which high school students who wanted to pray at their graduation ceremony were told that they would be arrested by police if they did so.
The Family Research Council report showed a particularly large spike in attacks on beliefs about marriage and human sexuality, ironic. Starnes said, given, ”Our nation was founded on Judeo-Christian values. People of faith are being pushed aside, and all public images of Christianity are being shoved out of view.”
In a statement, the Family Research Council said: “Anyone who desires freedom in the future must take note of what these trends tell us about our freedom right now.”
Travis Weber, Director of the Center for Religious Liberty at the Family Research Council, said that “While every section of the report shows an increase in the suppression of religious freedom, the section dealing with human sexuality showed the greatest increase in the level of hostility to religious beliefs.
