With all that’s happened in America this year and over the past few days, a renewed prayer is being uttered…..Come Quickly Lord Jesus.
The latest to make that plea is Jim Shempert, editor of website onemilliondads.com.
He writes his prayer following the shooting deaths of five police officers in Dallas, three in Baton Rouge, and other similar incidents around the country.
Shempert writes, “Our country has totally lost its morality. We have lost the light that once made America the shining city on the hill. Our country has never been more divided than we are at this moment. The United States is in very real danger of breaking apart.
And his answer although obvious, is not one that you’ll hear on the nightly news. He continues, “There is one person who can save us. It’s not Hillary Clinton. It’s not Donald Trump. It is Jesus Christ. It is a return to morality, order, and love for your fellow man. It is time for the Christians of this nation to return to the Savior they say that they represent.
He adds in caps to stress the point “ALL LIFE MATTERS.” It matters because God says it matters. It matters because God’s Son gave His life so that you can live.”
Sadly even that comment will be met with derision from most liberal media pundits.
Shempert concludes, “In such a time of turmoil as this, my only respite is to pray to the One who says that He is with me even until the end of the age.
